MELISSA RUMMEL is Project Manager for The Nichols Partnership.
Melissa found her path to real estate development in 2008 by way of real estate brokerage, urban planning and a love for infill placemaking. Melissa joined Nichols Partnership in 2013, bringing public and private experience across all facets of development and urban planning. In her current position, Melissa has managed and delivered both new construction and adaptive reuse office, multi-family and hotel real estate development projects.
Prior to joining Nichols Partnership, Melissa worked in development at the Denver Housing Authority where she focused on multi-family and master planning projects. While at DHA, she pioneered the adaptive reuse of an historic Horse Barn warehouse into shared office space for non-profits and entrepreneurs.
Melissa holds a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado in Denver and a dual-Bachelor’s degree in Economics and International Affairs from the University of Colorado in Boulder. She is a LEED AP and has maintained an active real estate brokerage license for the past twelve years. When not exploring cities or engaging in community development projects, you’ll find her on her mountain bike or skiing the backcountry.
